Welcome to Starlight

Let’s end light pollution. Let’s explore the starry sky. Let’s aim for the stars.

STARLIGHT (Skill for Tourism and Recognition of the Importance of Dark Skies) is an Erasmus Plus project, brought to you by the European Union.

From 2022 to 2024, astronomers, biologists, philosophers and tourism innovators from seven countries will work together across borders. We will build a whole new field of knowledge, innovation, employment and exploration in Europe, thanks to the magic of starry skies. The more we learn about ending light pollution, the more stars we can see at night. Dark skies are a treasure nowadays. They are also an asset in tourism. Via Starlight, we aim at increasing employment opportunities for young graduates in training courses related to tourism and for touristic operators.

Curious? Start your journey to the stars here. We invite you to explore three fields of knowledge and practice on this website.

Taking part in the STARLIGHT project also means attending Webinars and Summer schools. Participants will acquire useful notions to create innovative business and offer tourists unique experience boxes.
